Somerville Comments on Recent Tram Statement

The Edinburgh tram project has confirmed it is to be three years late and to face an "unqualified increase of cost". In a statement from Edinburgh Trams it has been confirmed that contractors do not expect to finish the project until January 2014.

Somerville Highlights Battle Against Domestic Abuse at International Women's Day Event

Somerville Demands Answers from Trams Bosses

Shirley-Anne Somerville, MSP for Lothians (SNP), is questioning the timing of media reports revealing plans for further tram lines. Instead, the long-standing critic of the trams project is calling on TIE bosses to start answering serious questions about the construction works that are already underway - but quickly falling behind schedule - with TIE deadlocked in a dispute with the main contractors.
