POST OFFICE CLOSURES CONSULTATION
Edinburgh residents are facing further Post Office closures across the city this month. A 6 week consultation began on Tuesday 19th August, with 22 branches across the Lothians threatened, 13 in the city. A full list of the Post Offices facing closure, and how to have your say in the consultation can be found here.
Note that Post Office Ltd. has been told by the UK government to close 2,500 branches across the UK, so if one branch is saved, another is likely to take its place on the closure list - so even if your local post office is not targetted it may not yet be safe.
I'll be doing everything I can to help affected communities fight for the future of this vital public service in their areas.
If you value your local Post Office and would like to make your views known you can also participate in my online survey by clicking the image or link below. I will ensure the Post Office is informed of all responses received.
Please get in touch through my contact details if you live in the Lothians and there is an issue I may be able to assist you with, or you simply want to have your say on a topic.
Best Wishes
